Those pictures on your website mean more than you think. It may not mean 1,000 words to Google but they do offer a visual representation of your brand or just something to reflect what your business, blog, personnel, product etc is about!
Let me begin with a simple advice, have an image for everything you write about, have an image to show. It makes the overall website just more appealing. There are some rules to having an image, having it just perfect.

- Take your own images
- Avoid stock photos
Utilize images that are relevant to the subject matter. It should also have illustrative purposed. Images with text wrapped around it also rank better for keywords that you’re hoping to optimize for. So here are some rules to adding a picture to your blog pieces.
- Choosing the right filename: avoid pic1232346.jpg or .png choose something like great_pepperoni_pizza
- Scale for image SEO: Optimize your pictures
- Reduce the file size: Make sure that this file size for the scale is as small as possible. So use quality photos.
- Adding an image to your article: Placement matters, don’t just leave it some where.
- Captions: Add a small caption with the header, large type, bold text, if you want you may…. Highlight, bullet point etc. Captions provide more information than you could imagine. 3
